Seeing More Breast Tissue Increases Diagnostic Confidence

Imaging tissue at the chest wall is a positioning challenge for even the most skilled technologist. Manual positioning of the breast with a conventional system can sometimes exclude the posterior portion of the breast. Since this is the thickest part of the breast, missing a few millimeters here contributes to a significant loss of tissue volume, and abnormalities may go undetected.

MaxView™ enhances positioning skills to help ensure that as much breast tissue as possible has been imaged. In some patients up to 30% more tissue volume has been seen. Take a look at the exam below. This patient had her 2002 exam on a conventional mammography system. One year later she was imaged with MaxView.

Millimeters…do make a difference.
